More about food pairing
An outstanding companion for grilled beef, slow-braised short ribs, roast lamb, and venison. Its richness and structure also complement wild mushrooms, mature cheeses, and hearty pasta dishes. Particularly enjoyable with Icelandic beef tenderloin, roasted lamb, or venison served with a rich red-wine reduction.
Production
ARTEMIS is a celebrated Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon from Stag's Leap Wine Cellars, the historic estate whose 1973 Cabernet Sauvignon famously triumphed at the Judgment of Paris in 1976. Named after the Greek goddess of the hunt, ARTEMIS reflects the winery's pursuit of exceptional Cabernet Sauvignon from carefully selected vineyards throughout Napa Valley. The 2021 vintage combines fruit from Atlas Peak, St. Helena, Coombsville, and other distinguished Napa Valley sites. Predominantly Cabernet Sauvignon, with small additions of Cabernet Franc, Malbec, and Merlot, the wine was matured for fifteen months in French barrels, developing complexity while preserving its expressive fruit. Rich, beautifully structured, and remarkably elegant, ARTEMIS combines generous dark fruit, polished , and the refined character that has made Stag's Leap Wine Cellars internationally renowned.
