Production

Castello di Cacchiano Chianti Classico Riserva comes from the historic Ricasoli-Firidolfi estate in Gaiole in Chianti. The 2021 wine is made from 95% Sangiovese and a combined 5% Malvasia Nera and Colorino. Stainless-steel fermentation and approximately eighteen days of skin contact are followed by maturation for around eighteen months in 500-litre tonneaux. The result balances ripe fruit and oak-derived complexity with the and structure of Sangiovese.
