Supremus Toscana IGP
Italy
The blend showcases the best of each varietal: Sangiovese imparts vibrant acidity and red fruit flavors, Merlot adds softness and plum notes, while Cabernet Sauvignon provides structure and depth. The grapes are cultivated in calcareous clay and rocky galestro soils, which enhance the wine’s minerality and complexity. The aging process in new and second-use French barriques, as well as Slavonian barrels, contributes to the wine’s nuanced profile.

Production
Supremus Toscana IGT is a distinguished red wine that embodies the rich winemaking traditions of Tuscany. Created by Neil and Maria Empson in collaboration with renowned enologist Franco Bernabei, this wine reflects a passion for crafting harmonious blends from the region’s finest vineyards. The grapes are sourced from select sites in Maremma, Colline Pisane, Colli Fiorentini, and Chianti Classico, areas celebrated for their exceptional terroir. The vines, averaging 50 years in age, contribute to the wine’s complexity and depth. After meticulous hand-harvesting, each varietal undergoes separate vinification in stainless steel tanks. The wine is then aged for fourteen months in primarily Allier oak barriques, with 70% being new, followed by a minimum of six months of bottle aging. This careful process results in a wine that is both elegant and robust, capturing the essence of Tuscany’s winemaking heritage.
