Production

Sartori di Verona, a historic winery in Italy’s Veneto region, is renowned for its dedication to crafting exceptional wines that embody the essence of their terroir. Their Amarone della Valpolicella DOCG is a testament to this commitment, produced from carefully selected grapes grown in the hills northeast of Verona. The winemaking process begins with hand-harvesting the grapes, which are then placed in small plastic crates and dried in ventilated rooms for about three months. Once the grapes have reached the desired level of dryness, they are pressed and fermented in stainless steel tanks for approximately 30 days. Following fermentation, the wine undergoes malolactic fermentation in concrete tanks before being aged in medium and large-sized oak casks for three years. After bottling, it is further refined for at least six months before release.

Tasting notes

Deep red with garnet reflections, the nose unfolds with rich aromas of cherry, dried red fruits, and hints of spice. The palate is velvety and full-bodied, with layers of ripe fruit, dark chocolate, and a long, complex finish.
