Lan Xtréme Crianza Organic

Spain

The LAN Xtrème Organic Crianza is crafted exclusively from organically grown Tempranillo grapes. Following fermentation, the wine undergoes malolactic fermentation in new French oak barrels, where it remains for 15 months. This aging process imparts complexity and depth, with the wine naturally clarified through decantation. Notably, barrels used for organic wines at Bodegas LAN are either new or have been exclusively used for organic wines for no more than one year.

Bodegas LAN, established in 1972, is renowned for its innovative approach to winemaking in Spain’s Rioja region. The winery’s name reflects the initials of the three provinces that make up the Denomination of Origin Calificada Rioja: Logroño (now La Rioja), Álava, and Navarra. With a philosophy centered on minimal intervention and respect for the environment, Bodegas LAN has crafted the LAN Xtrème Organic Crianza as an embodiment of their commitment to sustainable viticulture. This wine originates from the Mantible Ecológico parcel, a 5-hectare organically certified vineyard situated on the Viña Lanciano estate, near the historic Roman Mantible Bridge. The vineyard’s sandy loam soils, abundant in pebbles, and its east-west orientation at 400 meters above sea level contribute to the unique character of this wine.
