More about food pairing
An excellent partner for seafood, particularly scallops, langoustines, lobster, and grilled white fish. Its bright acidity and refined texture also complement seafood risotto, roast chicken, and fresh vegetable dishes. Particularly enjoyable with Icelandic cod or halibut served with a delicate herb sauce.
Production
Produced by Jermann, one of Friuli's most celebrated wine producers, this Sauvignon Blanc reflects a family winemaking tradition dating back to 1881. The vineyards grow on the region's characteristic marl and sandstone soils, formed during the Eocene period, where the combination of hillside exposures and a temperate climate encourages aromatic complexity and freshness. The wine is fermented in stainless steel and matured on its lees for approximately six months, followed by additional bottle aging. This careful approach preserves Sauvignon Blanc's expressive aromatics while developing a refined texture and impressive depth. The result is an elegant, beautifully balanced white wine that demonstrates the distinctive character of Sauvignon Blanc from northeastern Italy.
