Domaine Maldant Savigny-Les-Beaune Les Gravains 1er Cru

France

Savigny-les-Beaune is the first village north of Beaune. A village renowned for its red wines, which represent nearly 90% of the production. The terroirs of the different plots of the village produce wines that are powerful, spicy and round. The "Aux Gravains" climate, classified as premier cru, offers full-bodied wines with character but with a gourmet and fine finish. A very beautiful expression of Pinot Noir.

Production

Created in 1693 by Jean Pauvelot, the Domaine, passed down from generation to generation, has spanned centuries and eras; over the years, it has expanded and changed, without ever betraying the spirit of its founders. A reflection of a centuries-old tradition, the Domaine's wines are deeply rooted in modernity and reveal their finesse, enhanced by the progress of modern oenology. Respectful work on the Burgundy terroir and the vine, its environment, delicate vinification, and maturing in the Domaine's cellars, protected from time, give the Domaine Maldant-Pauvelot wines breadth, power and roundness and highlight their freshness and fruity character.

Tasting notes
