Weingut Frank Johannesbergen Grüner Veltliner is a more concentrated style of Grüner Veltliner from the Weinviertel in Lower Austria. The Johannesbergen vineyard is based on warm loess soils, which help give the wine body, texture, and ripe yellow-fruit character. Alongside the fruit, the wine shows the classic Grüner Veltliner markers of citrus, white pepper, savoury spice, and a mineral finish. It is dry, structured, and food-friendly, with ripe notes of peach, quince, papaya, and orange zest balanced by well-integrated acidity and a long, lightly peppery finish.

Tasting notes

Medium lemon with green reflections. Aromas of peach, quince, papaya, melon, orange zest, white pepper, and fresh herbs. The palate is dry and medium-bodied, with ripe yellow fruit, juicy acidity, subtle spice, mineral detail, and a long, crisp, peppery finish.
