Italy
Sourced from the Cascina Nuova vineyard in the Langhe DOC, the Chardonnay vines thrive in calcareous clay and white marl soils at an elevation of 450 meters. The southwest exposure and sustainable farming practices contribute to the development of the grape’s characteristic acidity and aromatic profile.

Viberti Giovanni, a family-owned winery established in 1923 in Piedmont’s Langhe region, is renowned for its dedication to traditional winemaking. The Langhe Chardonnay ‘Rinato’ is a distinctive expression of the Chardonnay grape, reflecting the estate’s commitment to showcasing the unique characteristics of this varietal. The wine is crafted from hand-harvested Chardonnay grapes, which undergo fermentation in a combination of oak and stainless steel to preserve their fresh fruit aromas. Following fermentation, the wine is aged on fine lees for about one year, with regular bâtonnage to enhance its complexity and mouthfeel. This approach maintains the wine’s vibrant acidity and fruit-forward profile, making it an approachable and enjoyable expression of the Langhe terroir.
Tasting notes
The wine presents a deep straw color with clear golden transparency. Aromas of ripe yellow peaches, acacia honey, and marzipan are prominent on the nose. On the palate, it is powerful yet perfectly balanced, with a creamy texture and fine acidity leading to a long, fresh finish.
