Doyard-Mahé Champagne Vertus Premier Cru Empreinte
France
Sourced from Premier Cru vineyards in Vertus, this Champagne is a reflection of the village’s distinctive terroir. The chalk-rich soils and southeast-facing slopes contribute to its minerality and tension, while extended aging on lees enhances its texture and complexity. Vinified with a combination of stainless steel and oak, the wine balances freshness and depth, making it both an expressive and refined cuvée.

Production
Doyard-Mahé is a family-owned Champagne house based in Vertus, a Premier Cru village in the Côte des Blancs. Now managed by Carole Doyard, the estate focuses on Chardonnay-driven Champagnes that express the purity of their terroir. Committed to sustainable viticulture, they farm their vines with minimal intervention, ensuring wines of elegance and precision. Fermentation occurs in stainless steel and oak barrels, with extended lees aging to enhance depth and complexity.
Tasting notes
Elegant aromas of citrus zest, white peach, and acacia blossom emerge alongside subtle notes of toasted almonds and wet limestone. On the palate, the wine is structured yet refined, with a fine, persistent mousse and a long, mineral-driven finish.
